It smells gasoline, but I can't find any leakage anywhere so it might
be that the car gets a bit too much gas?
There's traces of dripping on top of the intake manifold, maybe

I agree! A couple of drops of gas can smell like an open can, but it doesn't
take much to ruin your day!

Thanx for the response, Brad.
But that's where my problem lies. Once I start to turn the remover clockwise the harmonic balancer it self is still moving in a clockwise direction. So it seems as though I'm not actually tightening remover to pull the balancer off.

Charles,
I always
use a fly-wheel tool to hold a back up on the crank to keep it from turning. If
you don't have one of these you can just use a screw driver on a tooth and be
careful to not mess up any of the teeth... It would be really helpful if you had
some one to hold the flywheel
Well, I got the exhaust system shocks springs in today. next week will
be break stuff and wiring harnesses, and tires. I really don't think I'll
have it at the MCC show.
I'm not happy with the bodywork. It will look decent going down the highway,
but there are definitely problems. If I keep it
Thats messed up with all the money you put into having it done to your satifaction. Was there that much body work needed to the point where there was'nt enuff to do a better paint job? I hope it works out for you. Like you said, it probably looks good to just look at and you are being too

In a nutshell, there are
minor things concerning trim items that I can easily fix myself, and I don't
care about those. Then there are things like the fact that the rot in the
floorboards is still there and completely exposed underneath (apparently the patches
were just laid over the rot).
Sorry To hear about the problems with the Job John. The work you
recived was in IMO not a 9K job.. more like a quick 3k job jusy my

The good news is that the installation of my Flowmaster American Thunder kit
was very straightforward and easy. The system lines up extremely well to the
stock hanger points. the one thing that took up more time than anything else
was figuring out that everywhere the instructions said right it
Does anybody know the thread size of the U-joint bolts on the 69 El Camino?
I bought the Motormite bolts straps but the bolts don't seem to want to go
in. I think I need the same diameter but a coarse thread. I may have to take
the old tap die set out there next week and figure it out if nobody

Do you have a 10 bolt rear or 12 bolt?
A 10 bolt has two U bolts with nuts, A 12 bolt has two strap clamps with
four bolts

I think in a best-case scenario I might get awarded
a few thousand dollars. Not worth hiring a lawyer, so it would have to go to
small claims, which has a limit of $2500. I might also have to fight the case
in PA, 325 miles from here. Then there's the question of whether or not Ron could
