What should I do? I have checked I have the Xlib.h and libX11.so files
present.
Thank you,

.so.56()(64bit) is needed by package
mencoder
Trying to install or update libx264 told me that the package was already
installed, so I think I have an incompatible version. How should I
proceed?

But when I start up Cinelerra, and load a WMV file into it, when I play

What does Cinelerra
I have a 640x480 WMV video file that I wish to scale down to 320x480.
How can this be done? Can I use mencoder for it?

I find vlc useful for this kind of thing.
I have tried downloading vlc but have
, but Xine has
problems playing it (it plays the original correctly), claiming that the
frame rate has dropped considerably. The Zen Vision W refuses to even
start playing it. Am I doing something wrong with mencoder?

. How can I ensure the audio and video tracks
stay the same length? And what factors contribute the most to the

lavc -lavcopts vcodec=mpeg4:mbd=1:vbitrate=4
It resulted in a 16 MB file, less than one-tenth of the original file's
size. But that's still not small enough. To be able to post it on the
Internet, I would want it to be a couple of megabytes, at the most. Is
this even possible?
