Are you running exchange on a Cisco IOS based platform? If not, I think you
might have the wrong newsgroup (or at least post with OT in front of the
subject).
Now on a side note - try re-installing deleting and reinstalling IMS on your
exchange box.

Do you have a PIX? If so, you will need to turn off the fixup protocol on
SMTP. Exchange uses ESTMP commands that the PIX will not let through with
the fixup protocol turned on. That would be the first think that I can think
of checking..
