Firebug, it was my experience that I was put on hydrea when first diagnosed. I took this for maybe 3 weeks, only until I could get some assistance getting the Gleevec. My WBC was normal within a few days or 1 week of taking the hydrea. Has your father been told about Gleevec yet? Was he seen by a
