Rodney--I got a device to test last year (Water Watch) that actually keeps
a running tab on the amount of water used from a single spigot (in gallons,
up to 90). Its small, simple and cheap, and with a notebook, would give you
a fairly exact estimate.
Rodney, the variables are so great that you really have to put a submeter on
the water line where it branches off to the garden to have an accurate
measure.

Last year, I posted a picture of some of the Tokyo Cross Turnips we
harvested. I had many positive comments on the photo so I created a special
page on my website concerning the planting. We will be planting more
turnips of this type this year because of its taste, both with the root and

Hi-
Start with the ACGA website (www.communitygarden.org). It has links to
Detroit programs, which should get you started. I know there are plenty of
community garden folks in Ann Arbor, and ACGA worked with a project in
Battle Creek some years ago. That's all I have in my head. Let me know if

Pat,
Thanks for the plug, but the Clinton Community Garden site does not have a
link to the Detroit Community Gardens. If there's a link to Jason Fligger's
project, I'd love to see it - it sounds absolutely extraordinary.
