stuffit expander help

Is it true that the Turbo 040 can run in an SE/30 without the adapter if you move the floppy? I thought I read somewhere that if you attempt to just plug it in directly without the adapter, it could damage the motherboard. If there's no need for the adapter, I would be more open to getting one

Not sure about any of these processor upgrades, but I do know one thing that was missing...supported System 6 versions for each Mac. 512Ke, Plus, SE, and Classic: All (the Classic DOES NOT need 6.0.7 or higher; the ROM disk is actually 6.0.3) SE/30: Supposedly it needs 6.0.3 or better; I've

- No you can't run a Turbo 040 in an SE/30 without the adapter. If you're lucky it will just turn off the power supply. If you're not lucky it will fry your motherboard and Turbo 040. I did that. johnsn Ok, I misread the article. You need the IIsi 040 adapter
