the wesnoth package for quite some time.
We are tracking their status in the MIA team and would like to ask you
to remove them from the Uploaders list of the package so we can close
that part of the file.
Alternatively, if the person is listed as Maintainer, what we are
asking is to please step in as a new maintainer.

I don't see a problem here, or do you also claim that I am doing a bad
job and that he would need to jump in? Likewise with isaac? Besides, on
what do you base that claim? You haven't asked me (the visible
maintainer of the package) wether that's true or not, he might do stuff
in the background still?

I'd rather not remove someone from the Uploaders field because of that,
I'm sorry, especially since your claim doesn't have any ground to stand
on.

There is no need for a new maintainer because I am here, thus closing
this bug.
