hah, exactly, I can confirm this! When I avoid this, everything works
fine. But since IceWeasel 8, launching from Icedove gives all the
problems mentioned

So, if I start the computer, open Icedove, then click on a link in
an email, Iceweasel opens showing the link, but browsing with that
instance gives the hangs.

I want to confirm this issue. I never had it until I got Iceweasel 8.0.
Since that version I have this. It seems to happen mostly with sites
that use plugins like Flash or the Google Talk plugin. When it happens,
