Hey,
This bug occurs on my System as well! I symlinked pure-ftpd to
pure-ftpd-mysql but it doesn't work either.
Now the init.d/pure-ftpd-mysql skript doesn't throw an error anymore,
but it doesn't start pure-ftpd either...
Any help would be appreciated!
