It might be possible that Jack2 was installed, when he wasn't in the group audio, we never will know, but now he can start Jack1 with real-time, so I've doubts. IMO he is in the group audio. AFAIK it could be his guitar cable, he's not posting anything useful about running processes, etc

Problem is that once this occurs, some things are crippled. After removing the syslog and daemonlog files, one must usually reboot. What caused this? In my case, it was the gpm mouse driver. Simply went wild with wireless mouse. SO I simply do not use it. The x driver does what I need.
