default-Route.
Es existieren zwar die Interfaces ppp0, tap0 und eth1 in der Routingtabelle,
aber erst nach route add default dev ppp0 klappt alles. Eigentlich hätte

BUT I cant get diald to work !!!
I have set up my /etc/diald/connect file
I have executed
/etc/init.d/diald start
Magically /var/log/ now has entries for diald !!!

Comme suggéré par ailleurs, commence par faire marcher
pon/poff avec pppconfig. Une fois que ça marche, il suffit
pratiquement de copier les parametres dans les fichiers
équivalents de diald (si je me souviens bien).

(ping) et je ne peux

I have diald 0.99.1-1 and I think I have set things up
properly put it is still not working.
I have replaces the contents of /etc/diald/connect
with pppd call name which is what I use to
bring up my ppp link. I have set things up for modem use,
and dynamic IP. When I start diald from /etc
Under woody I've set up a small server to be a Squid proxy and to use
diald to dial on demand on a shared telephone line (used both to
make calls and to connect to the ISP).
The problem is that when on a client netscape or explorer is
erroneously started and immediatedly stopped while the line

I failed to have internet dial-up inspite of best efforts.The syslog says Chat
script failed. I have pppconfig and used /etc/chatscripts,read man diald,
corrected diald.options,corrected /etc/diald/connect . Nothing works. I am also
confused. Pl help.Internet with WINDOWS works fine in the same

have the workstation conversion done. I need advice on the conversion of
the common services box. I have installed Debian on it, and have
