OpenGL GLX extension not supported by display: :0.0

2002-06-12 Thread Rudy Gevaert
Hello,

I just installed tuxkart and when I try to run it I get:
13:23:38 [EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ tuxkart
Data files will be fetched from: '/usr/share/games/tuxkart'
GLUT: Fatal Error in Tux Kart: OpenGL GLX extension not supported by display:
:0.0

I am using a matrox g400 with dualhead, and sid.

Can anyone tell what to apt-get? Or what I have to do...

Thanks in advance,

You can inspect the extensions using 'xdpyinfo'. Mine shows GLX and
SGI-GLX supported. Do you have GLCore, GLX, or DRI loaded in
/etc/X11/XF86Config-4?

This is possibly the problem. Are you using Matrox's drivers or
HAL? In any case hardware 3d is not supported when the display is
using Xinerama, so you will probably want to use a single-head mode
for playing games.
