Funnily enough on older Ubuntu releases : this file is correctly
associated with libreoffice/openoffice AND it can be successfully opened
with file-roller (as docx files are zip files). But on Oneiric the file
is wrongly associated with file-roller and file-roller cannot even
handle the same

One of the document I was not able to print in Hardy now prints in
Intrepid. As for the linked document in the bug description it doesn't
seem to be (anymore) a valid PDF document (acroread, xpdf and evince all
fail to read it here).

I can confirm this bug in both fresh hardy and intrepid installation.
How to reproduce :
1) Install a fresh hardy or intrepid system
2) Go in gdmsetup and choose the Human List theme
3) Click on close
4) Go back in gdmsetup
Expected results:
Human List is selected
Actual results:
Random
For me that's an usability bug and can be tracked here. As you said I
reported those kind of similar bugs in the mailing list and got only one
reply.
However Sebastien Bacher is certainly a more experienced bug triager
than me and I'll let it to his appreciation if this bug should be
confirmed.

Steps to reproduce :
1) Let Evolution open in the background
2) Receive an e-mail
Expected result :
1) The sound defined in System/Preferences/sounds is played (In Intrepid, this
sound doesn't seem to exist, that might trigger this bug) or no sound is played
Actual result
The same problem exists in Firefox when searching a string that is not
found on the page.
I have looked in sounds preferences and can disable this pc speaker
sound by disabling Play alert sound checkbox.
However when enabled if I test the alert sound, it is a normal (wave)
sound.
