I am having the same issue, when the computer goes to screensaver
tapping a key or moving the mouse will freeze the screensaver but will
not display the login screen. However if I type in my password I can
get back to my account. Obviously this is undesirable and won't work
for computers shared
Follow-up: If I set my screensaver to fiberlamp (a non-GL
screensaver) everything works as it should. So this seems to imply that
this is a problem only with GL screensavers. If there's any more info I
can offer to help nail this down, please let me know.

We are a few people here at the office that have the exact same problem:
Sometimes the login prompt just doesn't show when the screensaver
running. We all have Ubuntu 11.04, but only those of us using Unity or
Gnome Classic have seen the problem. The guy running KDE have not seen
the problem. We
