OK, I've investigated and I was wrong about the version;
2.22.1-1ubuntu4.1 looks like it does have the fix (I'm on hardy).
I've looked at /var/log/kern.log and it seems bizarrely as though some
of the suspend code ran after the resume (although I could see that the
machine had a flashing light

This is probably due to incorrect thumbnails rather than gthumb. Some
thumbnails may have been generated by older software that ignored the
orientation tag.

Damn, I forgot to answer you.
You should have some valid iso file and mount it through
fuseiso -p iso image tmp - then it will be mounted to the folder tmp in
the current directory.
Unmounting through nautilus doesn't work for these mounted iso images.

I finally managed to write an Intrepid Alpha 5 CD that would boot for me
and tested this.
As far as I can tell the seeks are now much more accurate (or at least
consistent). I was unable to produce any obvious discrepancies. Once I

I've managed to reproduce the progress thumb problem in totem-gstreamer
2.23.4-0ubuntu2 using an Intrepid Alpha 5 LiveCD. The fact that it
occurs in both totem-gstreamer and totem-xine implies that it is a totem
issue rather than a xine one.
Note that it took me a few attempts to make it happen.

Bug is fixed upstream, now we get the message you can see in the

The developer is now looking for a way to specify where the missing rar
