UPDATE: It is not a POP-problem, I switched off the POP feature in my

If this is an upstream choice, it's a very very BAD choice! This worked very
well in Ubuntu 8.04.1, and now in Ibex it isn't comfortable to use. If

I too have the same problem. I have attached a screen-shot of what is
happening. Basically, the whatever program is on top, gets pushed behind
the preview. When moving the preview window, it leaves a trail of images

Yes, crossfading is what made it crash it looks like, even though it
wasn't changing songs but rather skipping to the middle.
However, now that I turned off crossfading and restarted, Rhythmbox
doesn't even allow me use of the slider (e.g. the slider will not skip

My CPU is always around 100%, including gconfd-2 daemon that uses almost
10-20% CPU.

Verification done. Reproduced the constant cpu usage with

going to be available in evince (okular), the difference between a pdf
and the fonts which evince renders is huge.

Sounds like the original issue (and many of the issues by subsequent
commenters) are fixed by the gdm priority change, so closing out the
xorg task - if I'm wrong please feel free to reopen the task with an
explanation.

bug #270700 is the crossfading issue, do you get the issue every time
when not using crossfading?
