[Bug 275952] Re: Unread search folder removes messages as soon as their unread flag is toggled
2.24.3 in 8.10, at least here, is working almost as it used to. I use a search folder for unread and important messages. If I mark the messages as read/unimportant using the 'mark as' menu the message is removed instantly (which would be enough for me if it worked on already read messages and there was an accelerator for mark as unimportant) If it gets marked as read automatically or if I remove the important flag in the message list pane, the message doesn't disappear until I reload the search folder by double clicking it in the folder pane (refresh and expunge unfortunately don't work as before. I used Ctrl-E to clean the search folder in 2.22, know I have to move the mouse around). Removing the important flag in the message list pane works but the icon isn't updated until the message is selected again (or the folder is reloaded and then the message disappears), so the important icon stays there until I change to another message and change back the previous unmarked message, by then the important icon disappears (the message doesn't only disappears when the folder is reloaded). It seems better than when the messages got removed as soon as read, but at least for me it still isn't working as I wanted it to, or at least as I got used to (and it worked well, for me at least). Having no keyboard accelerator to remove the important flag and since expunge isn't working to remove messages that don't fit the search criteria any more, makes it not as easy to use as it was in 2.22, but it is getting better. Anyone else tried to use the search folders again? -- Unread search folder removes messages as soon as their unread flag is toggled https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/275952 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug assignee. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
Re: [Bug 275952] Re: Unread search folder removes messages as soon as their unread flag is toggled
2.24.2 works for search folders that only use the Unread status. As long as you use other conditions and automatic 'mark as read' it doesn't work as expected. IMHO this is has been a major regression, and it makes search folders mostly useless for me (I need to track flagged messages along new ones). As far as unread search folders go, the bug is fixed. But the fix only works with unread messages. [Bug 275952] Re: Unread search folder removes messages as soon as their unread flag is toggled
It is fixed as of 2.24.1-0ubuntu2. The behaviour is different from 2.22, in which expunge would clean read messages from the list. Reload isn't working either, but double clicking the folder refreshes it and removes read messages. Ctrl+E was easier though, now we need to use the mouse… :-P Is there an accelerator that refreshes the search folder? F5 doesn't seem to work… -- Unread search folder removes messages as soon as their unread flag is toggled https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/275952 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug assignee. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 275952] Re: Unread search folder removes messages as soon as their unread flag is toggled
It seems to be fixed for search folders with only one condition, can anyone else try this? I had a search folder for unread messages and the messages stuck after read until a refresh. I added another search criteria to also track important messages and now messages disappear immediately. I'd say this isn't fixed. I also changed the rule to match any criteria instead of all criteria, so that could be related too.
As per upstream comments, it seams there was a hack to fix only the unread case, so everything else doesn't work, even if the unread condition is used… :-( This makes search folders for tracking unread and other criteria useless while using automatic read status change. -- Unread search folder removes messages as soon as their unread flag is toggled https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/275952 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug assignee. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 68044] Re: Many missing icons in Edgy
There's a missing link for dialog-cancel to the stop/cancel icon. I think that this icon should also be reviewed, since it is different from the others. It's the only badged icon, the others don't have badges supporting the symbol, this one has a red badge supporting a white cross, and should be a red cross with the pretty looks of the other icons. It seems that torrent type has no icon associated too, can anyone else confirm this? [Bug 65596] Re: No PNG gtk-stop icon (proposed PNG versions attached)

[Bug 43757] Re: Bad icons issue
I moved to Edgy and the Cancel icon on dialongs is a cross (old gnome icons?) with bad resolution(pixelized). [Bug 9489] Re: Wrong default paper size
It seems cups isn't accepting configuration changes, and gnome-cups-manager ignores ~/.cups/lpoptions. If that file is coppied to /etc/cups the changes are seen and applied. It must be something related to running things with suid. If gnome-cups-manager is run with sudo, the changes get applied too. Hi. I've noticed this problem since I started to use Evolution. It works with other applications, and the selection changes, although it doesn't add/change the signature in the message.
