probably gnome-panel bug.
Different icons dissappear, not all, mostly single ones, or 2.
Ie. opera's, gajim's, ooquicklaunch, network-manager...

Steps to reproduce this bug:
1) Open some applications which have tray icons.
2) Lock the Gnome screen
3) Unlock it.
4) Voila - at least one icon will be invisible, no matter what theme you use.

I have the same bug in Gutsy, on PL_pl (polish) locale.
I'm attaching a screenshot.
First popup says Validation error: the starttime is wrong, and the second
means Invalid date.
I can't add any tasks or meetings - Evolution is unusable.

Don't mark a bug as invalid without a good reason. It doesn't matter
that bug #41186 is similar, it's not the same! Besides, marking bugs as
duplicates of bugs which are duplicates itselves is not a good idea
either (and Launchpad won't allow you to do that).
