Hi, I am running into an error and much googling has led me to close-
but-not-quite solutions (including related one linked at bottom).
Specifically, I am unable to open Ubuntu Settings either via the GUI or
command line. When I run the command line, I get this error:

here is the list of gtk4 package installed on my machine, maybe there is
something wrong with them ?

it seems to be an issue with gtk 4.

$ gtk4-demo-application
the demo app gives me the same error

Agreed, I think it's reasonable to track down why this seemed to break
Kinetic entirely before releasing to the other stable series. I can see
from the logs that adsys seems to be failing due to an internal LDAP
error (NT_STATUS_INVALID_PARAMETER), so it might be worth looking into
