X won't come up on C2

2007-10-24 Thread John Watlington
We are having an impossible time getting X to come up on C2 machines. And X takes forever to stop trying to come up when we switch to init level 3. The error message spewed out on the console is: AUDIT: date time : pid: X: client 1 rejected from local host (uid 500) Xlib: connection to

Today's testing at CSMC

2007-10-24 Thread John Watlington
We came in this morning to find that almost all machines not equipped with the latest (.3) kernel had crashed with trac ticket #4322. The exceptions to this were one machine which had crashed w. #4431, one which had powered itself off, and one which had rebooted. We've upgraded all machines

Sounds like the suspend/resume bugs are about the same as C-build and the software has slid back (regressed a little). Just to verify - how many units are you testing is it 10? (what is the sample size - kim says it's 42 which is an improvement on averages). The USB power switch failure is

So far the new keyboard descriptions in the manufacturing data are a paper spec only. By that I mean that, as far as I know, the new tags are not present in the pre-build machines, and the OS doesn't look for them. (That is not quite true for OFW; it will use the new KA tag if it exists). One

Hello everyone, isforinsects here. There have been a couple suggestions for t-shirts floating around on the wiki and elsewhere. http://wiki.laptop.org/go/T-shirts I think that it's a great way to build community, and increase awareness so I mocked up a few ideas in InDesign.
