That's quite a sophisticated system you've made, very interesting. What is
also interesting is that the list had only one European station, so these

I think that if you monitored 80 meters for 7 days, you would capture other
modes.
Any chance of monitoring 160 meters?

John,
I read with interest your web pages describing your vertical antenna. Please
keep us informed on how it does on digital mode DX. I had to look twice at
what I thought was a balun at first.
Do you report your signals via PSKreporter?

The 'Unun' theory is well known and used, but to my knowledge, not

The construction of long-wire antennas with a Unun is simple, both

No, it is just that there is only small of percentage that will get on
the air and call CQ in the less popular modes consistently and with the

In the 60's and 70's we used AFSK RTTY on these bands.

Looks nice!
Better buy now, though, because when the EUrocrats find out about this
manufacturer he is likely to be bankrupted by the regulatory requirements.

I'm curious to what is the reason for a lack of interest on VHF/UHF FM to do
anything other than talk on the local repeater.
The Rigblaster has everything necessary to connect a computer to a VFH RICEBOX.
I have been looking at being able to control the RICEBOX through the microphone
In my case, the kenwood ts570sg has 6 meters already on it, so it can be
operated digital just like the rest of the bands on the rig.

In the PNW there is a group trying to make JT65 work on 2M SSB.
I have not heard anything out of them lately.

A few thoughts...
One old-time rule on Helical antennas is that it takes about twice the amount
of wire to accomplish what a straight piece of wire would do;, so, for this
case, that would be about 75/2, or and effective wire length of 37.5 feet, or
~125 Meters (of I did my math right). That
