Are there common places on each band to look for Olivia QSO's?
The 20 and 80 meter bands are quite active Tim - try 3583~3586, 14073~14075.

Hi George,
http://hflink.com/olivia
The most common flavor of Olivia is 500/16
and for DXing, you can find it on one of the
following USB VFO Dial frequencies:
7042.5 USB
7072.5 USB
10142.5 USB
14075.65 USB
14074.65 USB
14077.65 USB
18102.65 USB
When Olivia first began, the 1000/32 flavor
was
has anyone tryied to push the max tones to 256, like 2000/256?
What is the SNR on that I wonder?
I saw on FLDigi you can do this.

Hi Warren,
When Olivia first became somewhat popular, it
was mode of the month... there was a lot of
experimentation with tones and bandwidths.
Operators found advantages for various conditions
and needs, with extremes of each flavor.
The 2000/64 is quite good for interference
rejection.
W8Rit I wish we had more hams with your attitudeWV8BU
hmmm could it possibly be that the ARRL are out of step with the
rest of the world? Maybe the ARRL might consider changing
to match what the rest of us are doing. Mind you , I've never known the
ARRL to be wrong before J

But it's not ARRL vs. IARU in this case; it's FCC versus the
rest of the world. 7070 is not in a phone band in the U.S., but
is in some other countries. If it were in a phone band in the
U.S. then U.S. hams would not be able to operate digital modes
there.
In this case, its the rest o the world versus ARRL. The darn band is now wide
enuff, they wshould stop transmitting SSB in the lower half of it.

All,
I have Multipsk's responder setup as an experimental pseudo mailbox on
3598.0 USB. The beacon is running in PAX2 mode and will accept connects in
both PAX and PAX2 (Multipsk will switch modes automatically if you enable
your RS ID). The responder also works in PSK63/250 ARQ and 300 baud
