Hello folks, I have a stupid question. Is it possible to migrate from Xorg to the DirectFB if I need just for several gtk+ applications (gossip,evolution,dia), emacs, something like xterm (how I can understand there is an alternative in the directfb) ? Is it really or not ? I'm using ubuntu 6.10

Hi, If your app is based on GTK+ only (without any X11 calls and the like) it shouldn't be a problem since GTK+ runs on top of DirectFB. There's a DFBTerm that could be used as xterm. There are still many apps that are not supported by DirectFB, you should check each app separately. Basically,
