Hi all,
Having just bought a TR5, I badly need the schematic drawings.
Faulty crystal filter switching board with chokes and PIN-diodes attenuates
severely signal pass-thru in SSB both in TX/RX mode.
CW fine though. ( I inserted one of the last Sherwood 200Hz filter and it works

TR5, need the schematic drawings
TR5 schematic was in a pocket in the back of the owners manual.
Physically it is about 2' x 3'.
If you want to defray cost I can get to a Kinko have them copy and
TR4C, AC4, MS4 good working order and condition.
$480
plus ship

Would like to find a 2B or 2C receiver. Hopefully ,one that works ,but

I've had a 2C since I bought it new in 1968. I have considered it a
disappointment compared to the 2B with no passband tuning and a hard to
read dial. At the time I didn't know any better.

I'm in the process of restoring a TR-4Cx. Here are my unedited 7/15/2012 notes
concerning lighting differences:
The illumination color is different for the panel frequency dials on the right
(bluish-white) and the receive signal strength transmitter plate current
meters on the left
I have used file folder index tabs available at office supply stores as a
blue filter.
You may have to buy a pack with multiple colors to get the blue ones, but they
work pretty good.

Drop Steve, KG9BV, an email at _kg9bv@yahoo.com_ (mailto:kg...@yahoo.com) .
He sells the blue filter material specifically to fix your problem. Last
I checked it was quite reasonable.

Pierre--I have a TR5 manual and schematic at home...but am on the road for four
more days, traveling. When I get home, I should be able to scan what you need
and email it to you. Please contact me offline at tonykurl at aol dot com, and
I can send what you need on Sunday. 73, Tony N3WAK

Blue has been covered quite thoroughly in this list in the past, in this thread
among others:

My 4-Line did the same (meters are less blue).
I had pretty good results with my quick-fix.
I just painted the pilot light with a blue-green Sharpie.
I also use the Red Sharpie on the dial adjust red dot. Makes it
like brand new.
