Ron Baker, WB4HFN, has a great website (add .com to his callsign). He
is a superb technician, and has serviced all of my Drake gear (except my
R8A), and even sold me a few things. Plus, the bottom line is always
extremely reasonable. I highly recommend him!

Ralph: That is a wonderfully generous offer! This must come from being a
passionate Drake aficionado.
I myself don't need the radios, but I bet that someone on this list
could find a great, caring, appreciative home for them.

Hi Curt. I remember doing it when I was a novice--connecting it to the
arm of the AF gain control. These days, though, I simply hooked up a small,
amplified communications speaker to the sidetone output of the 2-NT. I
got it from Radio Shack for about $15--works great. 73, Tony N3WAK

Sorry you have to deal with the impolite folks. I know that there are a
lot of us on this list--by far, the vast majority--who appreciate this list
and think it's a great resource. Unfortunately, there are thoughtless,
impolite people out there, too. Their behavior just reflects

Neil--Yes, there's an SW-4 (or -4A) that comes up on eBay every once in
awhile. However, they've been pretty non-existent on eBay for the past
couple of months, which I've found surprising. Before that, I was seeing
several a month--sometimes two at a time.
I have an SW-4A, SN 2722,

the kind of Drake you have and the frequency you want to cover, and
they'll look in their database for the crystal needed. Takes about two

You asked about SPR-4 labels. Here's a suggestion from back in February

some labels for my own SPR-4, too. Jim, K5JD, seems to have

you.
Please let me know if that will work
