Dear
Yesterday I tried the LC Name Authority author lookup in a DSpace version 1.6
installed on a Windows machine.
After several (frustrated) attempts I started from scratch on my Linux machine
which... filled my expectations: working fine.
After that I, again, started from scratch on my
Hi all
I want to enable PDF viewer for DSpace so that a user who doesn't have
PDF application installed can just view the document on the web browser
without the need to install PDF viewer.
I am using XMLUI as a default and I need to show those changes on
XMLUI.
I also discovered that
Hello everyone,
I wonder if anyone knows how to change the menu elements at the front page when
using XMLUI/MANAKIN?
For example delete an element.
Thank you!

I have now tried to move the file to solr/WEB-INF/lib directory and that
also seems to work. If you want me to debug more, just say so.

That should be pretty easy in XMLUI using something like Google's viewer,
especially if you have no collections that need to be authenticated. You should
be able to simply make changes to your theme.xsl file to enable it (and perhaps
messages.xml). No java coding would be necessary using this
Hi Jason
I will follow your instructions and if there is anything I will also let
you know.

Good morning,
We are working on Dspace 1.6 and have encountered a couple of problems. The
main issue right now is the simple/brief display. In the jspui and 1.5.2 we
could use webui.itemdisplay.default which only applies to the jspui in 1.6. I
have looked through the documentation and
Good Morning, Dale~
To customize the simple item view in XMLUI, you'll need to edit the
DIM-Handler.xsl.

Ronee,
Do you have the link? It did not come through.I am suspect that the
SRUHandler is not parsing off the date and appending it in the choices. We
may want to revisit what fields should be passed through and included in the
choices.
Yes, its just returning one field of the srw record, not sure if its a
problem, just not a feature. I'd recommend possibly a JIRA ticket on
exploring if xslt can be used to provide users with simple template
option to set what the results should be formated like when turned in
