Currently i have a running installation of Dpsace and it is thought to be of
ver 1.3.2.
I have to upgrade it to 1.6.2 .
Few things i like to get advice from u guys are as follows:
First:
Is there any way to find the correct dspace version from the installation
directory files(we do't

I added line in message.prperties but it not reflecting.Is there any file
under tomcat/webapp for changing the label in Dspace 1.7.0. I do`t want to
rebuild the dspace.

read we can't jump directly form 1.3 to 1.6...

I want my dspace to display the thumbnail against each bitstream. So I edit
the following entry but it not working
webui.item.thumbnail.show = true
Files in This Item:
FileDescription SizeFormat
a.png 43.52 kBimage/png View/Open
Btw, the preview images are also missing.
Do we need to configure how to generate thumbnail for format such as jpg, or
the default setting can manage them well?

Have you run the command line tool (in the /dspace/bin/ directory)
dspace filter-media
This will generate the thumnails from your media.
