Hello,
while trying to install DSpace 1.7 on CentOS 5.5 I keep having problems
while running 'ant fresh_install'
Installed prerequisites:
Ant 1.8.2 - Maven 3.0.2 - Tomcat 7.0.6 - JDK 6u21 - Postgres 8.1
This is the output I get:
[dspace@dp1356-03 dspace-1.7.0-build.dir]$ ant fresh_install
As the cron jobs were used to launch scripts the old way, you'll have to
make sure that your cron jobs also use the new command launcher

I did find an old lock file. I deleted it and started the index-init.
Hopefully, that will fix it.

Dear Dspace-tech community,
I'm curious if anyone else has had problems using the command line

Hi Joseph,
The way the CSV importer works, for safety, is to process the whole CSV at
once, and hold it all in memory (rather than reading and processing it
line-by-line). Therefore is probably safer to just import one or two thousand
records at a time. THe reason it is probably running out

Thanks for the link. Keeping a simple file name (without any special

Timo,
To answer the question on how to delete the field you don't want. Your best
bet is to use batch metadata editing. When you import a column
(dc.language.iso), with no value, then it treats that as delete that value
from the metadata record.
Export the metadata of the affected collection,
