We have this error when uploading documents at the upload step:
Caused by: java.lang.ClassNotFoundException:
org.dspace.app.xmlui.aspect.submission.submit.UploadStep
We have enabled embargo features so I have commented out the section that
has this

If it's a problem with the updated config files having the '.new' extension,
you can run the ant command with '-Doverwrite=true' to force updated config
files in the source directory to overwrite

fine, so this is solved.
Note that in the documentation(most additional sources/guides follow
that convention)
[dspace] refers to the installation directory
and
[dspace-src] to the source directory
This is outlined in chapter 3.2.2. Overview of DSpace Directories of the
DSpace

are you sure you are running the commands from the DSpace installation
directory not the source directory? The commands should be run from the
installation directory.
