Ja oliko se tämän jutun olennaisin asia? Samanlainen kommentti tuli 
joltain Virtaselta SDXL:n Facebook-ryhmässä, kun laitoin tämän sinne:


Ei kannattaisi lukea ip-lehtiä, varsinkaan näin vanhoja juttuja. Tätä 
on puitu jo talvella fin-hamin foorumilla ja tiettävästi kyse oli 
LA-harrastajasta - ei hamista.


Minusta hyvin tarpeellinen muistutus kaikille huolehtia asioista ennen 
kuin se vahinko tapahtuu eikä sitten kun tappelee vakuutusyhtiön kanssa. 
Itselleni kävi eräs 'hami' asentamassa katolle antennin n. vuosi sitten 
eikä suojauksesta ollut puhettakaan. Nyt pitää laittaa.

Varsin onneton salamanisku.
Oletteko muuten nähneet suomalaisissa kerrostaloissa ns. 
ukkosenjohdattimia? Yleisesti ottaen mielestäni meillä rakennusten 
ukkossuojaus on heikkoa. Esimerkiksi Puolassa ja Saksassa (ja varmaan 
muuallakin Keski-Euroopassa) näkee kaupunkitaloissa varsin asiallisia 
suojauksia. Kattojohtimista tulee alas tukeva maajohto pitkin talon 
ulkoseinää ja painuu sokkelin vieressä maahan maadoituselektrodiin.
Virossakin olen havainnut maaseudulla mm. ukkossuojattuja 
varastorakennuksia, mutta moniko suomalainen lato tai navetta on 
varustettu ukkosjohtimilla, puhumattakaan tilan päärakennuksesta?

Keski-Euroopassa on toki ukkosta useammin kuin meillä, mutta kuitenkin.

Innisfailista suunnilleen 330 astetta eli sattumalta sama kuin Suomenkin 
suunta.
Inverted V:n suuntaavuus ole juuri dipolia kummempi ja lähtökulma 
riippuu paljon antennin korkeudesta. Pääsäteilykeila saanee olla melko 
korkealle osoittava noin 800 km maksimiyhteysväliä ajatellen (niemen 
kärkeen), mutta hyvillä keleillä riittänee ripaus tännekin asti.
Australiassa tehdään siis näinkin päin, vaikka ABC yleistä muotia 
seuraten lopetti kaiken SW-toiminnan.

2 kW tehoinen ABC Sydney 6090 kHz kuului aikanaan tasaisen harvakseltaan 
eteläisessäkin Suomessa, joten todennäköisesti tuo innisfail saadaan myös 
kuulumaan viimeistään syksyllä.

Jos antennin pääsäteilysuunta olisi tuo Cape, suuntakulma olisi
Innisfailista suunnilleen 330 astetta eli sattumalta sama kuin Suomenkin
suunta.
Inverted V:n suuntaavuus ole juuri dipolia kummempi ja lähtökulma
riippuu paljon antennin korkeudesta. Pääsäteilykeila saanee olla melko
korkealle osoittava noin 800 km maksimiyhteysväliä ajatellen (niemen
kärkeen), mutta hyvillä keleillä riittänee ripaus tännekin asti.
Australiassa tehdään siis näinkin päin, vaikka ABC yleistä muotia
seuraten lopetti kaiken SW-toiminnan.

noted on remote SDR unit in Massachusetts US east coast,


5 kHz lower sideband portion usual bandwidth,

BUT on upper sideband, distorted audio 
of not less than 97 kHz up to 12147 kHz, S=9+10dB in MA-US.

Hard them here on 12050 here in Alaska a few days ago, didn't check how far
up their signal went.. but the audio was distorted, muddy and
overmodulted.. but a strong signal nonetheless.
