For what it is worth, I run DX4WIN with the Winkey testbed program driving the

I agree. The Winkey is very good. I miss it in Dx4Win. I now use the
freeware SD-contest program from EI5DI where I can use the Winkey

Interesting reply.
Does this special date work for all date fields - ie QSL date ??
To turn the problem on it's head - can you search for QSl entries with a
date (with a view to clearing them); where no QSL has been received? I seem
to have a lot of records with a date, as if I have sent QSL's,
Hi all,
We all know the importance of backing dada up, I use a USB stick to back
up DX4WIN for example. Does any one know of a utility that will
automatically back up date from various directories to another network
computer? I am thinking of save directory from DX4WIN plus dada
directories from
I would also like this feature. As it is a great Keyer.

I use a program called SyncBack. It does backups, restores,
synchronizations, with a gazillion options - and it's free. I back up
DX4Win and N1MM on the fly (every 15 minutes) to another PC that I use
as a server. It's network savvy and can do logins.
I have written on this subject several times. I have been using Iomega
Automatic Backup for years, but I understand there are other cheaper (free)
solutions. You want something that backs up in the background, either at
regular intervals or every time the file changes. You don't want to have
To the newcomer it may be a bit confusing the way approved shows up as

Ideally, a backup should stay OUTSIDE the house (imagine it burns out...)
Anyone knows of a (free) solution to back up to an internet site ?

I've been using http://www.datadepositbox.com/ for the past year or so.
It is really cheap, only $0.01/meg of data. The nice thing about it is
it's automatic and you can set how many versions to keep. A small
application runs in the system tray and backs up data that changes. I

Ok, winkey this and winkey that. Maybe someone has been slipping me
thick pills again. I looked at the winkey site and they do the same
yada yada yada about winkey but they don't actually say what extra
functionality it gives. So what tricks does this thing do that makes it
a must have item?
