Re: [Dx4win] Swl input

2019-02-08 Thread Bud Semon
Hi John,

I'm interested in how you are trying to do this. When I verify a SWL QSL,
I do the following.

F8, then enter the callsign that the SWL QSL is for. Make sure the log is
showing the QSO that you are interested in (in case you have multiple QSOs
with the same station)

In the log entry window, I select QSO, then Confirm SWL. This opens a
window where you can enter the callsign of the SWL and it will accept
OK1-33856. That will update your log so that when you go to QSLs, Print
SWL Labels, it will print a label for that SWL.

Are you doing something different?

And by the way, in File, Preferences, on the Rep/Lab tab, in the Labels,
Greeting box, the 3rd line will print a SWL-specific line on the bottom of
the label.

Thanks and 73, Bud N7CW

Re: [Dx4win] error messages upon Saving Data

2019-02-08 Thread steve sala
Hi im
have the latest as I went to Help and Check For Updates a couple of days ago
and downloaded before I started adding notes to certain QSOs.

9.0.4.1176

I tried to mail the bug report but my computer said I had no email tied to it
so I could not send it. I have 5 email addresses I use, including this one for
reflectors, but I do not know how to “tie” one to DX4WIN to send the report.

You don't say which version of DX4WIN.If it's 9.0x, it should prompt
you to mail a bug report. Do that.

[Dx4win] error messages upon Saving Data

2019-02-08 Thread steve sala
I have a problem saving data. When I go to Alt S or File-Save, I get this
window that gives me three choices. “An error occurred in the application.”
Either:

Continue application
Restart application
Close application

I thought it was my thumb drive at I: but I changed it to another one called K:
and that did not fix it.

I thought I had read somewhere some of the Windows updates were raising havoc
with some programs. Does that happen to DX4WIN?

I have not used the program probably for several weeks and was going to put in
some notes about certain QSOs which did not respond to my sent out cards years
ago.

I could use some guidance here.

Trying to input a SWL card into DX4Win with the call sign of OK1-33856, Jan
Kraus. When hitting the enter key I get ‘Bad Callsign’. Is there a work
around for entering a SWL callsign?

Tnx
