[Dx4win] Question?
I have two questions: 1. I know what C, W, M stand for. What does L stand for? 2. Is there a way to export the Countries listing so I could import it into an EXCEL spreadsheet so that I could have a print out of Prefixes, Country names not worked, Mailed, and worked. To let all know that item 2 3 have been fixed. Latest country file did the trick. Item one I have received no help on. Thanks to all who responded on items 2 3. Hi all. I went back through the recent archives to see if there were any solutions to the problems. I copied my DXL file from the save directory of 7.03 to the save directory of 7.07. Log entries totals are the same. 1. WAS does not show any entries. 2. Desecheo Island does not show as confirmed. K5D 3. I worked JD1BMM and 703 said Ogasaware JD1/C and 707 says Minami Torishima JD1/M. Which is right? Item 2 3 were found because my DXCC totals were off by one (K5D) and I created spread sheets and compared line by line. From the Items above I need help on filling in WAS report, what is the correct way to correct K5D, and item 3. This is the hardest upgrade I have had since the beginning. I think version 2. Thank you. When I first set it up I did not have SSB checked for modes for WAS. All the rest did. Again thank you. I was checking my WAS report. All WAS options show no numbers. I am using version 7.0.7.2. How do I repopulate the WAS reports. I checked the logbook and the states column is populated. [Dx4win] Merging data bases.
Hi to all I am going to upgrade to 8.05 but I first have to create a solid 7.07 database. The reason I say solid is I have three 7.07 data bases. I have tried to keep them the same but after a few years (three different pc's) they are not. My question is If I make the 7.07 db with the largest number of entries and then merge each of the other db's into it will the result be what I want. That is one master db with all contacts in one place. I only want to end up with one db. If I take the db with the most contacts (and call it the master) and merge one of the others will it only put those contacts that are not in the master? Then repeat with the others. I hope the sentence is clear to what I want to do. [Dx4win] connection from radio to computer?
Hi All I am replacing my desktop with a win 7 laptop. The radio is a Kenwood TS 950sdx. The interface is a Kenwood IF-232C to the old serial port on the desktop running XP. Is there a recommended dongle to connect the serial to USB port on laptop or is this not the way to go? I am running DX4WIN v8. [Dx4win] rig control Kenwood 950sdx
Hi all This weekend I hooked up my win7 laptop dx4win 8.05 to the 950sdx. I purchased a usb to serial FTDI cable. The result was the only thing I could control on the 950 was the mode, frequency did not change. I next tried using my desktop station xp with dx4win 7.07. This setup was working 3 years ago when I moved. I got the same result. I looked at the rig file and they are identical. The cabling is the same except the laptop has the new USB to serial FTDI cable connected. Do you think the rig file is corrupt on both systems? Any ideas would be great. Problem finally solved. These are the steps I went through: 1. Tried HRD6 no go. 2. Bought the USB cable to the 950 no go. Note: The part I forgot to mention is the laptop has two partions. One is win 7 home 64 bit and win 7 pro 32 bit. I was moving all my ham stuff to to the win 7 home partion. 3. Tried loading a new copy of dx4win to win 7 pro partion. 4. It communicated with the 950. The HRD worked also.
