[Dx4win] Can't edit a call
Howdy! Got my UBN report from CQWW SSB. Trying to edit a handful of busted calls that showed up in the report, so they show correctly in DX4WIN. The first couple went just as expected. Then I get to EZ7ZK which I somehow fat-fingered into the log instead of the correct EC7ZK. I change the EZ to EC and tab over to verify that correct country, zone, etc., is filled in, but when I hit enter to save the changes nothing happens. Once again, all other edits work just fine. What am I missing on this particular QSO? [Dx4win] Corrupt log file?
Howdy folks Went to open one of my log files and it opens to 56% and then just sits there, and seems to pretty much tie up everything else on the computer as well. I can open a different log file from Windows Explorer, and from there I can open other log files fine - just not the one in question. So I'm guessing that log has been corrupted somehow. Before I jump into, deleting or overwriting old .DXL file, changing .~XL file to .DXL, and then attempting to open again, I just want to make sure this is the way I should do this. I have appropriate backups of .~XL, etc. Thanks! 73, Mike K9NW __ DX4WIN mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/dx4win Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:DX4WIN@mailman.qth.net This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html
[Dx4win] SWL label message
Hi I usually put a short message at the bottom of my labels (Tnx QSO/QSL!, PSE QSL!, CQWW Contest, etc.) but the message doesn't print when I do SWL labels. Is there some reason for this, or am I missing a check box somewhere? Not a big deal...just curious. [Dx4win] Upgrade, new machine, moving logs
Hi Just upgraded from 7.** to 8.05 but installed on different computer. Wondering if there is a best way to move my logs: - create new log and import old log? - just copy old log into DX4WIN805 directory? Thanks! 73, Mike K9NW __ DX4WIN mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/dx4win Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:DX4WIN@mailman.qth.net This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html
[Dx4win] mobile/county and correct country
I just imported my Ohio QSO Party log. I anticipated doing a few country corrections with the Mobile/county calls, and yes, there were some. But not all of them. All my QSOs with K8MR/ showed up as K, as they should. Any other mobile CALL/ showed up as whatever country would normally be assigned the prefix DX4WIN was detecting after the /. For example: K8MR/SUMM would still show up as K. W9MSE/SUMM would show up as SU. (these are just examplesdon't remember who op'd from where...) I'm not implying this was a problem - it wasn't. There weren't that many to fix and they were easy to find. I'm just curious why the K8MR QSOs required no fix. (something already in the country file?) [Dx4win] Date filter, IOTA window
Thanks for the replies! The IOTA window fix was easy. Still no luck with searching by year. When I click on Filter in the QSO Window and get the drop down menu, Selection is grayed out so I can't do anything with it. I've gone into File|Preferences|QSO|Searching and tried changing some things there but nothing differnent. I still cannot find any way or place to specify a Start Date and End Date. If I wan't to search for QSOs made in 2005, where do I type in 01/01/2005 and where do I type in 12/31/2005? What am I missing? 73, Mike K9NW A couple questions for the group: -- How can I set up a filter to search for QSOs by year? I thought it might be interesting to track how many countries, zones, etc., I've worked each year. The only examples I see seem to deal with QSL dates. I'm not concerned with that - I just want to know what I worked each of the past 10 years. Just typing in a year gets me a Value is not a valid date box. -- How do I change the available bands in the IOTA window? For DXCC, WAZ, WAS, etc., I can go to preferences and check which bands I want to show up in their respective window but I can't find any way to change the IOTA window. I'm not planning on working too many IOTAs on the 3cm band. :-) New to the list here..sorry if any of this is redundant.
