Len (K1NU) noted that when a WSJT log is imported into DX4WIN, DX4WIN
puts the contents of the field of the WSJT log into the
DX4WIN "Callsign Notes" field.
What is in the WSJT field is usually the mode and signal
reports such as "FT8 Sent: +01 Rcvd: +00". This is clearly

I am interested in running JTAlert with DX4WIN. A question was asked
last year about this, and Joe Subich, W4TV, posted the following:

I migrated to DX4WIN 9.01. I want to modify the format of my Logbook to
match the way I modified it in Ver 8. The help file says I can change
which Logbook fields are shown and their order:
Manage the reports that are displayed in the LogBook Window.

I used DX4WIN LOTW > Export to LOTW. Most of the QSOs in this batch
were FT8 mode. I then edited the LOTW ADIF formatted file to indicate
FT8 mode on all FT8 QSOs.
I noticed the file entry for a JT65 QSO mode was "JT65" so I
tried "FT8" on FT8 QSOs.
When I use the TQSL V2.3.1 with
All DX4WIN users owe a big thanks to Jim for his support. Think about
making a small contribution if you appreciate his large effort. From

Hi Kostas,
That would work to prevent all the RTTY alerts and was how I had it
set, but it gave me another problem.
I saw a spot a few days ago from SV2ASP/A on 10m RTTY. My Country
window showed I did not have SV/A on 10m.
Later I found I had already worked SV/A a year ago on RTTY. My
Running Dx4win 8.05 under Windows 7 64-bit, I worked on trying to get CW
announcements to work long enough that I thought I was hallucinating. Then I
heard some snippets of faint CW. I turned off my FM radio, the shack got very
quiet, and it was not just ESP but CW at RST 219. I looked at the
sub-directory of
DX4WIN.

I am using DX4WIN 7.07.02. When running Windows XP and DX4WIN setup Packet 1
Audio/Voice CW announce, I get CW over the internal computer speaker.
Running under Windows 7 64-bit, I do not get sound from CW announce. Is this
a known limitation?

I have been using DX4Win 7.07.02 on my desktop. I would like to install it on
my laptop, but I did not save the install file. I am happy with this version
and do not want to upgrade to version 8 yet.
Is there a source to download the 7.07 install file?

If you can send me some screen captures, I might be able to understand
what you think you see.

Jin,
When I connect to packet via Internet, it is the RTTY Window in Dx4win where I
right click and select Internet connection. I think this is what is meant by
RTTY telnet.

Jim's explanation of DX4WIN Data Protection Strategies should be

I used version 6.04 to make a second submission to LoTW. I then

I also tried attaching a spare printer (an HP laserjet 5L) to LPT3.
Windows XP added the printer and it prints OK.
What does DX4WIN need to find LPT3?

In DX4WIN 6.02, I copied in my old dx4win.tcp file.
I would like to view the original 6.02 tcp file and possibly add some
items from it. Is there an easy way to access this file without
trying to reinstall DX4WIN?

I wish there was an option to automatically do a Alt-S
type save every time you hit enter. There are pros and cons with
this, and I have discussed them with Paul before, but I still wish I
had this option.
I too have asked for this option several times, but I have never heard the
The habitual use of Alt S after new entries or changes will ensure
that the logbook is maintained in its most recent state and reduce
reliance on the backup.
I also use Alt S to make sure the logbook is updated.
I would like to see DX4WIN offer an automatic ALT S. by having an option in
