Apparantly, yesterday, after I funded his account, my customer was compromised
by the owner of e-gold account 305107, and the amount of $600 was stolen.

One of my Clients sent him some cash 20 days ago and is still
waiting his account to be credited.
He sent 2 emails, the first 7 days ago, and is still waiting a reply !

It's very difficult stuff, Graham.
It's a great pity that customer was silly enough or unfortunate to
fall for a simple scam.
But consider - if Jim repudiates this one spend, it could simply mean
the end of e-gold. Is that a better or worse outcome?

credited from them about a week ago, with some more due any day now
(I have to wait for the cheques to clear).
Then again, if your customer sent payment in cash, there's always the
danger it could be stolen by post office
