Well, X12 has to find a sustainable business and revenue model, doesn't it
:-) especially with declining membership, consolidation and disbandment of
subcommittees, and declining sales of work products
If anyone wants a definitive description of the new annual fee
licensing terms for X12 products I suggest they contact DISA. Here's my
personal understanding: The annual fee is due if the purchaser continues
to use the purchased 006050 version of the standard, regardless of
whether or not the
forward, will mean 20% per version per year, which
will become less trivial as time rolls on.
