Hi
As the serial number is over 3000 it is a B model and most of the mods are
already incorporated. The new firmware 2.04 and keyclick mod should be all that
is required to bring it up to current specs. However I may be forgetting
something.

Jean-Francois,
There have been only a few minor changes to the K2 since the major A to B
change at SN 3000.
To be specific, the Keying Waveshape change and the Temperature compensated
PLL are the big changes (available as mod kits from Elecraft). Minor
changes are the high level
Hello,
Wow, never thought that would happen but it did. I was rushing to get
everything complete on the calendar due to setbacks and I made a major

flag of NY at the bottom and makes mention that it was earned with a K1 to

I, for one, am glad I have a K2 instead of a Ten-Tec Argonaut, and for
at least one very specific reason. Well, morre than one, but at least
one: Elecraft is committed to making their rigs as accessible to
disabled ops as they can. Ten-Tec, on the other hand, seemed somewhat,

months. Then two days ago I could not get the kat100 to hold swr after

This occurs only on 40 meters.

Reggie,
Check the power cord and the Anderson Power Pole connector at the KPA100 end
carefully. If the K2 is shutting down, it is quite likely that there is a
bad connection somewhere in the power supply cord and components.

If you are using a non-resonant antenna try lengthen (shortening) the
antenna lead in. Add a length of coax and see what happens. You could have
an unloadable length of line.
This occurs only on 40 meters. There is no problem on any other band or
frequency.
