Hi Bob,
You hit on a disappointment of mine - the K2 does not have true QSK. If it
did I would have had a second K2 here. To date I haven't heard of anything
that can be done to get QSK like some of the other rigs. When I am Cqing I
don't need QSK. Actually your ears get a break when running

Have you tried setting the menu item 'T-R Hold' to 0.00 or 0.01? The

I'm wondering where you guys use such incredibly fast QSK? I keep the delay
long enough that I am not bothered by noise, etc., except between words or,

hi all,
I am working on the RF board, page 65 where a lot of capacitors are to do.
The first problem I had was C22 (3.3pF), which I could not find. I found a
capacitor with 2.2 on it, which I used after reading the parts list, but
now I am at C33, which should also be 2.2 but nothing around.

I have discovered that the 20 and 17 meter ouput power of my K2/100 is running

Hi
If you will check the parts list I think you will find the 2.7 pf caps are
alternates for the 3.3. These are the blue caps marked 2.7c. You should not
use the 2.2 brown cap in this place. this is for c33.

This is for anyone who may be following my previous

measurements, and I am getting the following KIO2

J1 pin 2= +12.7 Volts

All other readings are pretty close to the table of

Dave,
Yes, you can use that stereo cable - with some reservations, and as long as
you understand those reservations, things will be OK.
First thing is that if you use the external speaker jack, the ring contact
will be shorted to the sleeve, so only one channel (usually the left) will
work.
Hi Dave:
One more thing... don't sweat the possible roll-off from the PHONES
jack. It's minimal and should NOT compromise your adjustments one
whit. But DO be sure to set any AF filtering (KAF2 or KDSP2) to OFF
or to its broadest setting.
AGC can be set to either ON or OFF... doesn't really
