Hi Karl, A question. Does the K2 have a variable resistor at R! Compression ratio set? Yes, the resistors RP5 are the 'variable' resistors for compression. Yesterday I had send a mode for other compressions. With other resistors you make your own three compressions. 73/72 de

[Elecraft] Nylon Screw

The nylon screw is the ultimate answer...The reason the short occurs is that in some instances the tapered head of the screw comes into contact with the sides of the hole in the tab of Q6...Counter sinking the hole in the tab of Q6 works as a temporary measure, but I would not recommend it as a

For some time I had been aware of the Rework Eliminator kit from Unpcbs for use in the K2. At the time I could see no real use for me. However having built my K2 and used it for some time I felt I wanted to restore it to its original state to carry out some initial alignment checks and compare

I agree wholeheartedly. I recently had problems with the KSB2 and 160 meter mods. It was great to be able to do A/B comparisons and troubleshooting simply by unplugging the offending module and plug in the header PCB. Mike AI4NS For some time I had been aware of the Rework Eliminator kit from
