To be safe you should use a stereo plug. But in actual practice a mono will
work too. I have to admit...When building my Microham cable
for the K3 I jumped the gun and used a mono plug and it works fine.

Setup:-
K3 LSB 80m.
Power 10W into dummy load.
Heil Pro Plus selected to the HC5 element.
Front Panel mic input High.
Tektronix 475 Oscilloscope with X10 probe connected to dummy load.
I found it necessary to set CMP to at least 5

I am wondering what the groups opinions are about the best end fed antenna
lengths would be for taking my newly built KX1 mobile?
For 40, 30, and 20 meters, I use a 42-foot wire with a large nut on the end.
The wire is thrown over a tree branch. A Pomona BNC-to-Bindng Posts adaptor
is used.

I followed the Splitting A K2/100... instructions and added a resistor at the
input of the KPA. I used a 300 Ohm 2W resistor leftover from the KPA upgrade
kit :)

That's one hell of a mojo, where it arrives 1000 years before it's ordered!
