Jack,
Transmitting between 7.5 and 9 MHz is not permitted because we have to
enforce a minimum frequency distance from the 8.2 MHz IF (and its
associated IF rejection trap on the KANT3 or KAT3 module). An excluded
first IF region is a fundamental limitation of a down-conversion
design.
Ah, I'm reading my email backwards again :) We might be able to allow
you to go to 7.6 MHz. I have to test this.
tnx

I'e been using the same (now old) homebrew Accu-keyer with auto character

the timing, it's hard to send decent CW otherwise. Except with a Lightning

I would love to see separate volume adjustments for Spot and Sidetone.

It's one of the reasons I haven't parted with my TR-7. The other reason -- I
like the radio :-)

For external amplifier and external high power auto-tuner use, I'd like to
see the followiong:
1) External ground that automatically puts the K3 into a low power CW tune

after an amplifier.

Is there such a command. I had this radio for about a year and I have to keep
turning the knob to go from 100 watts to five watts. I don't recall in my
book a cmd for it but was wondering if there was a firmware upgrade. I use
my amp every day and before I use it, I always go to five watts on the
