Hello Hank
I sympathize with these difficult issues - the KRC2 is out of date and its
about time it was replaced but at least it has always been reliable. I have

It always amazes me, how these high flying film people can get it so wrong.

Yes, The NR needs improvement (at least on SSB) and the notch should be
inside the AGC loop. It has been said so many times before.
I know there are people who use the K3/IF - softrock/lp-pan -

I got some more suggestions. One of them was to adjust the CW sidetone

Apparently, this is a problem with my hearing and not the audio output.

Hello Group,
It is off-topic but I need your expertise.

IIRC, an early scene in the movie Contact pretty much got the ham

BTW for a true stealth ham rig, you'd think a KX1, KX3.. or

But maybe Ford was not playing a spy, so
The ATU goes into bypass if too much RF power is applied into a high SWR
antenna (as measured by the bypass VSWR. The tuner is rated for an
antenna load (as measured by the Bypass VSWR) of 10:1 SWR at 600 watts and
3:1 SWR at 1500 watts. If you exceed these limits, the tuner will go into

I would like to see an extension speaker made by Elecraft for the K line.
I would imagine that the same chassis as the P3 could be used with different
front and back panels to save on tooling costs etc.
It would be preferable to have two off them if you are a sub

Normally the culprit is something taking over the sound of the PC, such as
