There’s no DTR. It is a 3 line / RX/TX/GND interface…. so it seems that DTR
based CW is out of the question.

I have looked at the archives a little bit, but I haven't quite stumbled on
a short and sweet paragraph or two about this.
Has anyone selected and used a Pelican case to protect and transport a
K3/100 + P3 combo. If so, what case did you choose?

It is worth noting that there are a few parts to solving this problem. Audacity
is a great software package, but it is only needed for the encoding of the file
format problem. You can get the recording into your computer without anything
else. There is a sound recorder utility included in
Elecrafters;
After a quick visit to the software download page today, I only see a Windows
version of the KXPA100 utility. Is there an expected release date for Mac (and
Linux) versions? In particular, the Mac release?

Can you share the recommendations? I have a USB 3 powered hub that I love but
it generates terrible interference on 20m. I just realized this after your
post.

I've carried on my KX3 with NiMH batteries many, many times. Only once did they
ask what it was - swab it - and carry on. I travel with either an Elecraft BL-2

I have no data on a buddistick - apologies.
I'll second this - I really love the SideKX product - I feel like the radio is
backpack and road-worthy in the extreme now.

I find I have to connect my I/q output to my iMic sound card and set the input
switch to 'mic' instead of line. The levels shown in iSDR are modest in this

Does anyone else have a similar experience or is something not right with my iq
output?
Thanks

I cannot speak for the wear and tear, as I've only had mine a short time -
around 6 months. I can, however, clearly state that the feel is fantastic. I
have never had a radio with such a solid feeling VFO. From time to time, they
appear on the used market which makes them less pricey.

All;
I have this exact cable, I paid full price for it over a year ago. It is
connected to my K3 and I use it with my XG3, TM-D710, D72 and a large
collection of devices. It is a real FTDI chipset (dual UART) and there have
been ZERO problems. This is not a Prolific clone.

Thanks everyone, and Ed. I have re-read the older posts and understand what is

Hi Wayne;
How did this testing go? I presume that you received more offers than you
needed testers.
I was unable to find the beta software on the FTP server. Is there an updated
ETA for testing (or release) of this feature?

As close to having a built-in tuner as you could want. The size of the T1 is
simply amazing - and as an aside, I have yet to change the battery.
