I have been using the KUSB USB/serial converter between my K3 and PC for
both DXLab and n1mm. Lately, I have been having trouble with erratic
frequency readings, mainly on n1mm but sometimes on DXLab. On n1mm, this
seems to happen mainly when I change bands or after the radio has been in
standby
Down here in SC, my land abuts a wetland preserve that is populated with the
worst chiggers I have ever run into. Once I leave my manicured lawn and go
out where the antennas are hung in the trees, the chiggers are giggling as I

I had exactly the same thing happen to me in WPX as I pushed F1. In my case
the fan never went on though but the temp leveled off at about 47C.
However, in my case, the power shutdown went in and, on 40m, the xcvr seemed
to get hung up without any receive antenna when the transmission
If no one spoke up, we would all still be driving Black Model Ts. And,
forget about elections or anything else that might be considered different.
As a contester, I would have preferred something other than the existing
band switch, e.g. pushbuttons for each band, but I can live with the current
