I am a new Mac user and have run into an issue.
I downloaded and installed the P3 Utility. When it installed, I dragged
it to my Applications folder. At first, it worked fine. Now, when I
click on it, I get the following message:
ERROR: The HELP folder must be in the same location as the
Joel;
With just a few exceptions (mostly Apple Apps), Mac apps do not have to be
directly in the Applications folder. The solution to your problem is to put the
entire folder containing the P3 Utility into the Applications folder. I
actually have all my Elecraft Utilities in a single folder
Thanks for the help, this has been solved. The solution is that you must
copy over the entire folder (from Downloads to Applications). Once I did
that, it worked fine.

I just completed the assembly of my P3 serial number 878 (went together very
smoothly!). Connected it to my K3 and powered them on - no problems, nice
sharp display on the P3.
Prior to doing this, I had gone to the Elecraft web site and downloaded the
current Mac OS X version of the P3 Utility,
Problem fixed. The first time I ran the install, I dragged the app onto the
Dock and tried running it from there. I subsequently re-ran the .zip file
and did a copy/paste onto the dock, and it works fine. Once again, user
error! Darn users!!! :-)
