Hi all,
Thanks Mike and John,
I got my shield upgrade kit for the KPA100 with no speaker shield either and
had no notice about such device until now. I have downloaded the current
KPA100 shield upgrade manual and have seen what is all about. I'll have to
order one of those speaker shield too but
Hi Mike,
There is a amp-key kit provided by elecraft at a cost of USD5.
There is no ALC communication between the external PA and K2. I use my K2
with my ICOM ICPW-1. With an input of 15 watts, I shall get an output of
about 300 watts.
The output of the PA is controlled by the input power

Folks,
Mike has spotted a mounting problem with my Fixed Audio Output board in the
K2/100 with the new speaker shield. I am sorry I didn't realize the
problem - I tried it with my KPA100 without the speaker shield and it did
fit.
Mike has found a realistic mounting location, although it may not
I hear a few signals on 60 meters, but not a lot. It might be fun to
pick a time to converge on one frequency and see what the band *really*
sounds like when there's decent activity.
It's like the 40-meter call to arms a few weeks ago, but channelized,
which might make it easier ;)

Hi to everybody !!!
For all of you who wish to see what a K2 SSB module or a 160M second
antenna connector option look like before buying, you could take a peek
at my web site. I just finished to 160M option tonight, and it's
working very well !!!
Hello all,
I've had K2 S/N: 3464 in storage and I'm about to
begin construction. I'll be using a Weller WESD51
soldering station with Kester SN63PB37 @ .031 diameter
and Kester SN60PB40 @ .031 diameter solder. The
WESD51 uses ET series tips. Any suggestions on tip

I just stumbled across the AT paddle, which should fit the bill for people
looking for a non-iambic paddle for their KX-1.
Only problem is, it looks like it is NOT made for an 1/8 plug though. So you
could either ask the maker if he could make one for you, or you could try to
homebrew one.
