What cheap/accurate tools are available for K3 construction? I'm aware of the
Elecraft XG2 which I think can be used as a signal generator. NorCal QRP has a
NorCal S9 signal generator, but their kits are not currently available.
I'm struggling to find a 1 mW to 5W capable RF power meter. I
I'm trying to understand why I can't seem to get my K1 to emit a tone when I
press + and - but I do hear dits and dahs in my earphones when I transmit
and I do hear dits and dahs in my other radio when I transmit into a dummy
load. I'm trying to do a final alignment. Can you do a final alignment
I have and regularly use the ProSet+. The combination of HC4 and HC5 makes
the headset versatile. The ear pieces hurt after a long session.
Elecraft would do well to offer a new headset with ear pieces that don't
rest on the ears, but around them, with the equivalent of HC4 and HC5.

So, I think I hear a warning...It may soon be that we'll have wall to wall
K3's up and down the band during contests, and we'll need a K3 just to
squeeze in and be able ignore the neighbors grin.

numbering on my potentiometer. I'm thinking I should follow the numbers.
The sequence on the potentiometer shows 1 and 3 on the outsides, and 2 in
the middle and pointing to the center of a resistor symbol. The manual

supply voltage at 13.22 V.
My voltage check at P1 pin 16 shows a voltage of 12.98 V (Supply - 0.24V).
If I calculate the predicted voltage it would be 12.92 V (Supply - 0.3V).
I'm off by 0.06 V.

I'm installing a new but old KXV3A board into the J66 block. The
instructions say the pins should just clear the top of J66 when the BNC
