I noticed that after doing the mods to upgrade K2 #402, I don't get any
output on 17 and 15 meters.
I did change C30 and C36 to 470 uF, ,and C33 to 2.2 uF, which is part of
the 17/15 meter band pass filter mod change.
However, receive seems fine. I just
with a bit of stretching.

I got one a long time ago. It was somewhat small and I was surprised
that mine was slightly off-center, causing an annoying wobble. I ended
up putting the rubber ring from the ft100 knob on my standard Elecraft
on the screw to keep the screw from backing out.

I need some help on setting up the spacers between the two boards on the
KAT2. I'm pretty sure the assembly instructions are incorrect, so instead
of asking for clarification on them, perhaps someone
delete the reflector name from
the subject line).

Yes, folks - this particular knob is priced at $650 and it comes with the
transceiver attached G
BTW - for those who might be interested in really trivial facts, the stock
K2 knob does fit on this transceiver too, so if you are interested in just
swapping them ...

Once you isolate to one or 2 stages, we can help you isolate the failing
components. One consequence of lightning zaps is there may be multiple
failed components, find them one at a time.

I'm considering ordering a K2/100
of the pins
still wire straight across (except for the Yaesu mic pinout). If you have
the tool and wire, wire-wrapping is a good option too.

Anyone have a source for short jumper plugs for the mic config header in
the K2? I have some from a microprocessor
than that indicated, all is well, but if your reading was lower, start
looking for the error - component values, soldering, etc. -- note that if
your readings were just a tad lower, it may be nothing more than difference
in your meter compared to the ones used to create the chart.

or may not have any relationship to an RF ground. I doubt
that a Ufer ground would serve as a good RF ground, although it may do so at
some particular frequencies - I would want to test it before depending on
it.
