TX light blinking. If so, you've accidently hit the Mode Up switch and held

I have an LCD monitor.
Every now and then I get RFI from it.
I disconnect it from the power supply for a few seconds, plug it back in and
RFI is gone.
It may come back in a couple of days or it can be weeks.

Well, there's a find!
I went into DXLab Commander and changed the Continuous integration from
200ms to 400.
In 10 minutes of testing the P3 didn't freeze Plus during a 5 minute CW
QSO
I'll continue operating and testing during this afternoon.

I've clicked on telnet spots and more often than not still have to tune.
I think this has been going on for years.
Even now with the P3 capability, shaky hands, bad eyesight and even the
spotter of the DX station that likes his Side tone a little different than I
do, I always fine tune.
If you do
I've had this happen 3 times over a 2 day period.
I'll be doing something, like my email or whatever, and when I get
back to the radio the screen on the P3 is frozen.
Never happens when I'm tuning or transmitting.
I have no idea what it may be.
Anybody else have this happen?

Fred is right on!
I would add that besides putting something in the subject. Like K2 it should
be in brackets, [K2]. Reason, if it's K2, the email filter will catch K2GN,
and put it in the targeted folder too.
And, please, like Elecraft requested, your text at the top with pertinent

I found out I had the same problem here, compounded by bad ears.
Solution: Use the MKR A to get to the high side of the freq,
Then on the K3 - hit the Spot function. Of course the K3 must be set up for
Auto Spot.
Works like a charm.

Is there a safe way to update a K3 through the microHAM router?
I don't like moving the cables for every update.
Something is going to wear out or break.
Difficult to do it with my 1 good hand .
Can I put a Y adaptor on the RS232 and run a USB to my laptop, and leave
the microHAM powered off?
I use one of the covers that Cushcraft provided with an antenna.
It's got a little hole in it and it's a tad loose, but doesn't come off and
blends in nicely.

I got Tom's splitter box today in the mail.
Tom was nice enough to assemble them for me because of on stroke.
What a nice box and board!!!
I ripped out me half a$$ed wiring and inserted the box.
Found out I actually had a poor connection and now the old Motorola speakers
sound great!!!

I am overwhelmed with the response from my experience about building the K3
and the health issue that caused a partial loss of movement in my left hand.
I want to thank each and everyone that responded off list to me with offers
to install the DVR kit.
I didn't expect it. Although I

But my plans were altered by health issues and I had to go factory built.
And I found out 3 weeks ago when I tried to install the DVR option that it
was a god move.
Had real trouble just opening the radio up with 1 1/2

I have several macros in the Commander module of DXLab that control the K3.
As a fact of fact, the are 2 sliders built into Commander for the filters.
There 16 buttons and 4 sliders that can be programmed for use from the
Commander.
Great tool.

Well, the CQ WW is over, I'm rested and I finally got to play with 3.47.
From all the emails, there's not much left for me to test!!
I did a few and it was a smooth, slick operation.
I like the idea of an Aux bank of Programable switch that fits under the K3.

I find the via holes near C66 not open. They have been soldered from the other
side.
Is this an indication that this mod was down before it ship to me 7/10/09??
Or should I just tack on the resistor/diode to them?

All is well in K3 land here!
After loading the unit software and usb driver on my laptop and running the
util from there, the K3 reloaded the firmware.
All I had to do then was get the com port back to speed for the software I
use.
Forgot the K3 had an rs232 speed
I've got my K3 S/N 3278 hung up.
Sparing the details of the story, I was testing the K3 Util software when it
happened.
I probably tried to load the firmware and shouldn't have.
I've followed all the reset instructions in the help files and manual.
Including removing power etc etc.
